What Are Ingrown & Trapped Hairs?

• Ingrown hairs: Hair grows back into the skin instead of out.

• Trapped hairs: Hair is stuck under a thin layer of skin or dead cells, making it hard for wax to grab.

Why Waxing Can’t Remove Them

Wax only removes hairs above the skin’s surface. Trapped hairs may remain until they naturally surface. A few can sometimes be tweezed safely.

How to Prevent Ingrowns

• Exfoliate 2–3 times a week to remove dead skin.

• Moisturize daily with a lightweight lotion.

• Use ingrown hair serums like PFB Vanish or Tend Skin.

• Wait 4–6 weeks between waxes for even hair growth.
